We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. The social networks we use are listed below.

Social networks like Facebook, X, etc. may carry out a comprehensive analysis of your user behaviour if you visit their website or another website with integrated social media content (such as Like buttons or ad banners). Visiting our social media presence triggers numerous data privacy-related processes. In specific:

if you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media page, the operator of the social media platform can assign this visit to your user account. In certain circumstances, your personal data may still be recorded if you are not logged in or do not have an account on the corresponding social media platform. In this case, data is recorded, for example, through the use of cookies that are stored on your device or by recording your IP address.

With the help of data collected this way, the operators of the social media channels can create user profiles that store your preferences and interests. This enables interest-related advertising to be shown to you both inside and outside the respective social media platform. If you have an account on the respective social network, the interest-based advertising can be displayed on all devices on which you are logged in.

Please also note that we cannot follow all processing steps on social media platforms. Depending on the provider, further processing operations may therefore be carried out by the operators of the social media platforms. Legal basis

Our social media presences aim to ensure that we have the widest possible representation on the internet. This is our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR. The analysis processes initiated by social networks may have different legal bases, which must be specified by the operators of the social networks (e.g. consent as defined in Art. 6 Para. 1 lit a. GDPR).

Responsible party and assertion of rights

If you visit one of our social media profiles (e.g. Facebook), we and the operator of the social media platform are jointly responsible for all data processing operations triggered during your visit. You may exercise your rights (of information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and complaint) both against us and the operator of the corresponding social media platform (e.g. Facebook).

Please note that despite the shared responsibility with social media platform operators, we do not have full influence over the data processing carried out by social media platforms. Our scope is largely based on the company policy of the corresponding provider.

Storage duration

The data collected directly by us via our social media profile will be deleted from our systems as soon as the purpose for their storage no longer applies or you request its deletion or revoke your consent to storage. Saved cookies will remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory statutory provisions, especially regarding retention periods, remain unaffected.

We have no influence on the storage duration of your data stored by social networks for their own purposes. More detailed information can be obtained from the social network operators directly (e.g. in their privacy policy, see below).

Your rights

You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to object, the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. You also have the right to request the correction, blocking, deletion and, under certain circumstances, the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
